A Surprise Bridal Shower

We told Jasmine that we were going for a dress fitting. Little did she know I had gathered members of our family, close friends & people from work to surprise her!
She had NO idea!! What fun!

Food, punch, & CAKE ready for a party!
Christian couldn't resist being here to see Jasmine's surprised face.

All the essentials.

Thanks to all who were able to come and share in the surprise!
We missed those who weren't able to make it.

Then we ACTUALLY did have a dress fitting.
I just barely uploaded these pics from my camera because I didn't dare risk Christian seeing them.

Christian & Dad try on tuxedos. I guess I should find something to wear too!

It doesn't seem like much when I put it into this little blog, but every free moment I had was spent on planning, shopping, creating. And it was all absolutely worth it!
What a most fabulous day!
More to come.

Oops! How'd THAT sweater get in the wash?

What do you do with a shrunken wool sweater? Repurpose it into mittens & ear warming headbands!

We cut Sydney's mittens out of the body, & Madi's fingerless gloves out of the sleeves. This sweater had a big cowl neck, so we used that to make two headbands. Then I used the rest of the body to make a purse for Sydney. She insisted... and it turned out pretty cute.

Sydney is very proud of her super soft & warm mittens.

Madi is excited about those fabulous buttons.

She finished the edges herself with a blanket stitch.
(You can see them in the next pic.)

This was a fun little project that only took about an hour.

After our mitten making.... I gave haircuts. :)

Sydney is holding her new pink purse to match the mittens & headband.
