Bonjour!
Our flights worked out differently than expected so we ended up in PARIS instead of Italy.
What an AMAZING adventure!
I have included some links to websites if you'd like more information. :)

On one of our days we rode the train 10 miles out of Paris to the Palace of Versailles.
Chris took this picture of us in front of the gate.
We spent half the day touring the inside of this palace and only saw less than 1/4 of it. It is massive and so very elegant.
Then we walked through the gardens. Ah, the gardens. So big and amazingly beautiful. The canal is a mile long and was a means of transportation to the smaller "retreat" palaces.
Inside the Palace

Marie Antoinettes bedroom was changed with the seasons. This is the lovely summer design.

The Hall of Mirrors. WOW!

This is the chapel within the Palace.
At the front of the chapel we saw Jehovah God's name in Hebrew, the Tetragrammaton.
Walking through the Gardens
Brittany loved feeding the swans in the Canal. Notice the symmetrically trimmed trees. I love square trees!
And the swans loved her.
One of the very many fountains.
These gardens go on forever!
What an amazing place with a very interesting history.
Before getting back on the train we stopped for a break at Starbucks in the town of Versailles.

Interestingly, it seems that Starbucks is pretty much the same wherever you go except for the pastries. They have the most delicious pastries in France. Yum!
This was just part of one of our days in Paris.
I will tell you more as I have time.
Au Revoir
