Monday again... But we had another Glorious Sunday!

Sunday morning the kids went out in the field ministry. Then we all enjoyed a very encouraging meeting!

Sunday afternoon Brittany continued in the field ministry. The rest of us came home for lunch & Mark got the Watchtower library working on my computer again. Yay! Thanks, Mark!  :)

Sunday evening the guys went to a gathering at our friends' house to play games and enjoy encouraging association, pizza, beer, coffee, & all that good stuff. :)

Us girls went for a ride up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Of course we stopped at Starbucks on the way. :) We started on our journey a little late in the day, so daylight was quickly fading.

Walk on the boardwalk...

Hand in pocket 'cause it's cold! Brrrr...
To Silver Lake...

Being silly on the dock...

Sydney took this pic. She generally only gets our legs, so the girls made sure they got in the shot. :)

Me & my Britt

Me & my babies, Sydney & Madi
Back in the car to warm up & head back down the canyon...

Of course, since the canyon comes out to Grandpa & Grandma Maxfield's neighborhood, we must stop & visit for a bit.  Grandma & Grandpa are my "constant" in life. (for those of you familiar with LOST) Of course we made a special delivery for Mark... the 2011 Union Pacific RR Calendar. Grandpa likes them so we give it to him every year.
I love you Grandma & Grandpa!
On the way home we grabbed some chicken at Sonic. Picked up Mark & dropped off Brit at our friends house. Then home for a little more silly before bed.

Have a terrific week!!

Last weekend had a few hiccups, but ended splendidly.

Saturday morning I woke up to a messy house, as has been the norm for the last little while. I cleaned for a good 2 hours while the kids were out & before I went to work I gave them a to do list with terms. The terms being... if the house isn't clean when I get home I will take my leave in the form of a mommy vacation at my sister's house! (My kids do know that I say what I mean, so I had no doubts that the house would get clean.)

So, off to work I went... Surprisingly, my long lost BFF Alexis came to visit! I love it when she does that. :)  We made a plan to get a drink together after work... how about Chili's...
My baristas rocked the house and we got everything done & out of the store on time. Thanks guys! You're the best!  :)

Alexis & I enjoyed chips & salsa with our margaritas at Chili's while we talked & talked. It's been a really long time! Good memories, all the current goings on with our jobs & kids, and everything in between.  ❤
So I got a mini mommy vacation anyway.
Came home to a clean house. (The kids say it took them 4 hours.)
Went to sleep, excited to have Sunday off.
Sweet dreams.....

Sunday started okay, but Brittany & I, both being women, had a bit of a moment, and missed meeting. :( So, we talked things out (Brittany is good about that,) and got on with the day.
She helped me get things ready for the evening.

Some of my sisters were coming over for a dinner & caramel apple party!
Ben & Megan are headed to Korea for a year, so we wanted to get together.
Taco salad for dinner, Tres Leches Cake for dessert. Mmmm....

Brittany & Megan

Some trampoline time.

And then it was time to decorate our amazing caramel apples...
A problem that we've always had in the past is the caramel sliding off the apples resulting in an apple sitting atop a puddle of caramel & candy. So I looked online to learned that if you boil the apples for just a couple of seconds and wipe them dry, it takes the wax off. Then the caramel will stick. It works!
What a fun & delicious mess!

~SISTERS~

What are YOU looking at?!?  LOL
It's getting late & we've all had a LOT of sugar.
Silliness at it's best.

I just like this picture.
Enjoy your adventure in Korea Ben & Megan!
We're looking forward to some awesome pics and interesting blogs. :)
We love you & will be thinking of you.

Have you ever tried a delightfully fresh Honeycrisp apple?

Honeycrisp apples are SOOOoo delicious!

Very rarely do I ever see them anywhere. So yesterday at the store I asked Brittany to go grab some apples while I got Sydney some popcorn chicken at the deli. What did she come back with? Honeycrisp apples!! Yummy!! They are almost too sweet. :)
Maybe I'll go today and get some Laughing Cow wedges to eat with them.

How delightful would that be for my break at work?  :)

For now it's time to go wake up some sleepy heads.....

Make some coffee....

And stretch out the knots in my back with my favorite exercise program,
Classical Stretch.... Love it!!

And we'll get on with the day.
Grocery shopping for dinner tomorrow,
Work this afternoon.
Tomorrow will be another fabulous day off to spend with my family,
spiritual family, and then more family for dinner. Good stuff!
